Create a Tailgating Alert with Email Notifications

By configuring this Raven rule in your Geotab account, you can begin receiving alerts via email if a driver is tailgating another vehicle.

1. From the Geotab web app, click "Groups & Rules", then “Rules” from the left side menu.

2. At the top of the page, click “Add”.

3. Enter “Tailgating” in the “Name” field, then click the “Conditions” tab.

4. Click “Engine data”, select "Measurement or Data", then click “Display All Diagnostics”. Enter “safe distance” in the above field, select “ADAS Safe Distance Alert (0. No alert, 1. Alert)", enter "0" in the "Value" field, then click “Add”.

5. Click the “Notifications” tab, then click “Add email”. Enter the desired email address, click “Add”, then click “Save” at the top of the page.
