Create a Bad Install Detected Alert with Email Notifications

By configuring this Raven rule in your Geotab account, you can begin receiving alerts via email if a Raven is mounted incorrectly in the vehicle.

1. From the Geotab web app, click "Groups & Rules", then “Rules” from the left side menu.

2. At the top of the page, click “Add”.

3. Enter “Bad Install Detected” in the “Name” field, then click the “Conditions” tab.

4. Click “Engine data”, select "Active Fault", then click “Display All Diagnostics”. Enter “check device” in the above field, select “Telematics device fault: Check device installation as the accelerometer was disabled due to excessive data", then click “Add”.

5. Click the “Notifications” tab, then click “Add email”. Enter the desired email address, click “Add”, then click “Save” at the top of the page.
